Belgium won't have a direct participator for the UEFA Champions League. The national champions will have to play in the 3rd preliminary round, just like in the last few years. The vice-champion has to play in 2 preliminary rounds.

Belgium is ranked 12th on the Uefa ranking. The first 9 countries have one or more direct participators. Scotland (11th), Turkey (10th) and the Czech Republic (9th) are still ahead of the Belgians.

The Cup winner and the 3rd in our league have access to the last qualification round for the Uefa Cup.

In the season of 2006-2007, Belgium will have one direct participator.
