Franky Vercauteren is realistic: "If they recruit another coach in June, I will be assistant-coach again." But Anderlecht would even consider to offer Vercauteren a contract for next season too.

"I don't know if I want that. My task is on a short term at the moment. And the youth project is very important to me."

Franky Vercauteren announced several new rules in the Astridpark. A short summary:

1. Less contact with the press
Broos was available for the press every day. Vercauteren will only available for the press the day before, and the day after a match.

2. Trainings behind closed doors
Broos only trained once behind closed doors. That was before the decisive qualification match for the Champions League against Benfica Lisbon. Vercauteren wants to train Friday, before the match against Oostende, without the press in the neighbourhood.

3. Motivating the players
Vercauteren won't talk to the players a lot, which is no difference compared to Broos. But he wants to motivate his players constantly. No place for egos in Anderlecht anymore.

4. Psychological assistance
Hugo Broos wasn't a big supporter of psychological help for his players. Franky Vercauteren wants the psychological assistance of Johan Desmadril, a sports psychologist.

5. More youth
Franky Vercauteren also wants to engage more youth players in the A-squad and in the selection.
