Anderlecht did not manage to beat AA Gent. The game ended in a weak and scoreless draw. That way, Club Brugge are now 14 points ahead of Anderlecht, that has 2 games less played though.

Gent had no trouble with Anderlecht in the first half. Zetterberg, who replaced the suspended Baseggio, was nearly invisible. Aruna was the only one who tried to set up a few actions, but without success. He could test keeper Herpoel only once.

And the second half wasn't much better. The game became boring with none of the teams able to create chances. Anderlecht left a bad impression. Only Kompany played at an acceptable level. The first real efforts on goal came after 87 minutes of play, when Herpoel had to save two good shots. Also Gent threatened the Mauves once, but Van Steenberghe kept Lukunku from scoring. Final result: 0-0
