Yves Vanderhaeghe celebrated his 35th birthday with a smile on Sunday. The old warrior of Anderlecht has a place in the starting line-up again, and already scored twice in a few games.

"The current team misses a few strong caracters. The board should take action against that. They need to buy players with a strong mentality. Some players are still wearing their jeans one minute before the training."

About Hugo Broos: "The group is still supporting the trainer. And who should be his successor by the way? I don't get it. Is there any trainer this team would fight harder for?", wonders Vanderhaeghe.

Many coaches see a big future for Vincent Kompany as a midfielder.
"I don't think that would work", says Yves Vanderhaeghe. "I prefer Vincent as a defender. Although he will be able to play on the midfield in the future, but not yet. He's still too frivolous."

"Vincent a well accepted in the team. But he knows he's protected by the club. He could come late on training for a few times without being kicked out of the team", Vanderhaeghe said.
