Mitu on his way to Anderlecht

Anderlecht want to bring Marius Mitu to the Vanden Stock Stadium next year. The 28 years old Romanian midfielder of Lierse is highlighted on Van Holsbeeck's transfer list.


Mitu proved to be one the best football players in our league this year. His excellent skills charmed Anderlecht. Therefore, Lierse chairman Vets has been trying to offer Mitu a better contract, but the player isn't interested.

Mitu's contract ends at the end of this season. Also Georges Leekens wants him, but he's too expensive for AA Gent. Genk also showed their interested, but Anderlecht have the best chance on a transfer.

Mitu himself would love to stay in Belgium, since he started a procedure to obtain the Belgian nationality. He even wants to play for the Red Devils.

It's also possible that the Mauves will buy a new goalkeeper at the end of this season. Silvio Proto and Bertrand Laquait two good possibilties.
