Diawara becomes Mazzu's assistant

OTHER Felice Mazzu's staff has been known. With Samba Diawara as his assistant, the last open position has been filled. Diawara comes over from Charleroi, where he was also assistant coach. Mazzu also brings three employees from Union.


The now 44-year-old Diawara played for Tubize, Olympic Charleroi, Union and Tubize again. Between 1998 and 2003 he collected 14 caps for Mali. After his career as a footballer, he became assistant coach at Tubeke, STVV, Union and since 2018 Charleroi.

Besides Diawara, Mazzu's new staff at Anderlecht will also consist of Thibaut Meyer (physical trainer), Laurent Deraedt (goalkeeper trainer) and Sandro Salamone (video analyst). These three come along from at Union.
