GAMES - YOUTH The Belgian U17 started the final round of the European Championship yesterday. In their first match, the young Devils played 1-1 draw against Serbia. Enock Agyei is the only Anderlecht player in the team. With an assist, he was immediately decisive.
Against Serbia, Belgium took the lead after 17 minutes. Agyei got the ball from Godts. He in turn served Idumbo and he put the 0-1 on the board. Or was it an own-goal by the Serbian defender? Only in minute 88 did Serbia equalize from the penalty spot.
Agyei played the entire match. In the Belgian selection, goalkeeper Matthieu Epolo (now Standad, until 2019 Anderlecht) and Mika Godts (now Genk, until 2020 Anderlecht) have a past with purple-white.
Friday at 2:30 p.m., Belgium plays against Spain. Monday at 3:30 p.m. Turkey awaits.
