Gomez: "Focused on the last months of the season".

INTERVIEWS Sergio Gomez made the most of the past few days with the Spanish U21, which also managed to qualify for the European Championships -21 in 2023. The Spaniard is satisfied with his performance but does not want to look too far into the future yet: "Now focus on the last months of the season with RSC Anderlecht".


Gomez not only provided assists in the past two games with the Spanish forwards, he also scored. "I am very happy that I was able to help the team with my assists and goal. Good for the confidence of the team also to be able to qualify."

After his national commitments, the Spaniard returns to RSC Anderlecht where he is under contract for 2025. He does not want to look far ahead. "I'm now focusing on the last months of the season and try to take my chances. Returning to FC Barcelona? Nobody has a crystal ball but it was my home there for eight years, so it wouldn't be bad to return."
