Leeds interested in Gomez

TRANSFERS The English website TEAMtalk reports that Leeds United are investigating with more than ordinary interest whether a transfer of Sergio Gomez is a possibility. Leeds want to strengthen and rejuvenate their left flank.
 


Leeds recruited Junior Firpo from Barcelona last summer, but his performances this season have been disappointing. An acquisition like Gomez should provide more competition.

TEAMtalk also writes that Real Madrid is also monitoring Gomez's performance since a few months. Lyon, Atalanta and Ajax are also said to be following Anderlecht's left-back. Finally, Chelsea were also linked with Gomez in early January.
