INJURIES A message on the website of the Ghanaian Football Federation states that Majeed Ashimeru will have to drop out of the international game against Nigeria due to injury. The message is causing a lot of controversy in Ghana.

There is a lot of uncertainty about Ashimeru's situation. The Ghanaian association writes on its website that he is not present due to an injury. Ashimeru would have received a tap on the ankle. Ghanaian journalists report that Ashimeru was not on the final list and was only on standby.

The Ghanaian website 3News heard from Ashimeru's entourage that he was not injured.

GhanaSoccerNet finally comes up with news that confirms the message from the football federation. The website claims to have seen an e-mail from Anderlecht to the Ghanaian Football Federation. In that mail, the purple and white team reports that Ashimeru twisted his ankle at the end of the game against Gent. The mail was signed by professor Dr. Luc Vanden Bossche. According to Vanden Bossche, Ashimeru is currently unable to train and the necessary examinations will be carried out this week.
