INTERVIEWS Tessa Wullaert had to cope with an injury the past few weeks, but is back for the play-offs with RSC Anderlecht. Where she still feels good, her contract runs until next year but there are no concrete plans yet: "I let everything come to me".

It is clear that Wulaert feels good in Brussels: "I play with confidence again, I missed that a bit abroad. That confidence also makes me a better player. The balance between football and a life next to that is also more balanced, abroad it's eating, training, sleeping and traveling, all on repeat.

European Championship 2022

In July, the Red Flames will travel to the European Championships. "I am looking forward to it because it is also a bit of a homecoming, we play twice in Manchester. It's up to us now to prove that we want to be among the top eight in Europe and we have to do that against countries like Germany and England. And for that we have to work very hard. But as a group we are stronger and we are tougher on each other."

Golden Boot

Wullaert lost by a narrow margin against Janice Cayman with barely one point difference. She was visibly upset and not happy with the result. "They underestimate me in Belgium, but I'd rather be underestimated. It didn't cause any problems for the Red Flames or anything like that. I said my opinion at the time and that's the end of the matter for me. But it is still a pity. But I'm only looking forward now, to win the title and the cup with Anderlecht and to play a good European Championship.
