INTERVIEWS Majeed Ashimeru might be the man in form at Anderlecht at the moment. Once again, he was one of the standouts and with a subtle assist, he led the 1-0. "This might have been my best match for Anderlecht", the Ghanaian said afterwards.

Since Ashimeru came in the team six matches ago, Anderlecht won five times and drew once. He scored once and gave two assists. Yesterday, he was also involved in both goals. "When I saw Zirkzee running, I knew where to give the ball. And at that penalty moment, I knew how Nainggolan would play the ball," Ashimeru said afterwards. "But of course this win was above all a collective achievement."

When asked if this was his best game for Anderlecht, he cautiously replied in the affirmative. "I am very satisfied with my current level. I have to continue on this momentum and stay focused. We are on the right track, but we can still be better and more efficient. Next week against Gent will be important again. We have nothing in our hands yet. In the dressing room we celebrated the victory, but we know we have three important games ahead of us."
