GAMES Mohammed Dauda is in top form. He scored his fifth goal for Cartagena since the turn of the year. And it was an important one: Dauda put the 2-1 advantage on the board against leader Eibar. Cartagena won in the end with 4-1.
Dauda seems to have found his feet at Cartagena, which is seventh in the Spanish second division. The 24-year-old striker scored four goals in the last four matches. His counter now stands at seven. This makes him the second best shooter of his team. Only 40-year-old Rubén Castro does better with 15 goals.
Sunday afternoon against leader Eibar, Dauda gave his team the lead in the 52nd minute. The Ghanaian was right on target when the ball landed at his feet after a corner kick. In minute 87, Dauda was allowed to rest. After his replacement, his teammates increased the score to 4-1
