Debast: "An indescribable feeling"

INTERVIEWS Due to Wesley Hoedt's suspension, Zeno Debast celebrated his debut as a starting player for Anderlecht yesterday. The 18-year old defender played an excellent game, although he was not entirely blameless when the Eupen goal was scored. "But then it's important to keep your head up," he said afterwards.
 


"I'm very proud to have grabbed my first starting spot in front of our great fans. The result is also good tonight. That's also great," Debast told the television microphone immediately after the match. 

"Four to five hours before the match, when we arrived at the hotel, the coach told me I would start. That feeling is indescribable. I was so happy to play."

With a 2-0 lead, Debast made a brief mistake, which led to the Eupen goal. "A mistake can always happen," said Debast. "Then the trick is to keep your head up and I think I managed that. The most important thing is the team result and that was good."
