GAMES Anderlecht crushed the red lantern Beerschot with a 0-7 victory. After the first half, it was already 0-3 and Beerschot saw Holzhauser leave the pitch with a red card. After the break, Anderlecht increased the score to 0-7. Moreover, it did a good job in the standings due to the loss of points of several competitors.

Anderlecht found the way to Vanhamel's goal immediately after the first attack. Verschaeren set up the attack and finished off a low cross from Gomez. Anderlecht was dangerous a few more times before Verschaeren doubled the lead, again on a low cross from an excellent Gomez. Beerschot showed little. Noubissi got space to kick after a corner, but hit the ball wrong.

Actually, it was waiting for Anderlecht's next goal. Zirkzee made it 0-3 in minute 34 after he kicked a low ball from Refaelov in two times past Vanhamel. Beerschot made it even more difficult for themselves when Holzhauser, who had been trying to redirect the game like a libero for a while, brought down the broken Kouamé. Smet had no mercy and drew red for the Austrian.

In the second half, Murillo and Olsson got some rest. Mykhailichenko and Ashimeru were the logical replacements. The kick-off was just over when Refaelov poked the 0-4 into the goal. Refaelov and Kouamé were also allowed to rest after 55 minutes. Raman and Amuzu came in their place. Without really pushing, Anderlecht increased the score. Raman put the forfeit on the board against his former club with a low flight shot. A handful of minutes later, number six was in goal after a shot by Raman deflected. Vanhamel finally gave away the 0-7 in minute 72 when he let a simple shot by Amuzu slip through his legs.

Anderlecht wasn't taken by surprise against Beerschot and does a good job in the standings because of the loss of points of several competitors. It obtained 16 out of 18, qualified for the semi-finals of the Croky Cup and it could also have won in Bruges. Despite the fact that the game is much improved and the goals fall easily, we would also like to note that the calendar (outside Charleroi and Bruges away) was not that difficult. But we have also had enough periods in recent years where every game was extremely difficult to win. After the short winter break, tough away games await at KV Mechelen and Union. Hopefully Purple and White can then still enjoy the current form.
