OTHER The long-awaited financial reshuffle with capital increase finally took place yesterday morning. Debts are waived by Marc Coucke and a capital increase of 42 million euros takes place. Peter Verbeke becomes CEO of Anderlecht.

It took a long time, but Anderlecht is financially stronger again. Main shareholder Marc Coucke cancels the debts and invests again together with 'Mauvavie' of chairman Wouter Vandenhaute and Geert Duyck. New investors are Steven Buyse and Michael Lavrysen (like Duyck from CVC). CVC Capital Partners is one of the five largest private equity firms in the world.

Michael Verschueren and Johan Beerlandt (B-shareholders) have sold their shares to Coucke. Verschueren remains a director together with Etienne Davignon.

Peter Verbeke will be the new CEO. "The way of working that Peter brought into the sports department of the club over the past year and a half will thus be continued throughout RSC Anderlecht." reads the club's statement.
