INTERVIEWS A satisfied Vincent Kompany after the cup victory over La Louvière. That he chose for his established values and didn't give youngsters a chance, shows how important the Cup is for Anderlecht, but it also caused some questions with the press and supporters.

Where clubs like Club Brugge and Genk gave some youngsters playing opportunities, Kompany did not. Kristian Arnstad and Mario Stroeykens were on the bench, but remained there even when the game was already played. "In terms of bringing in youngsters, Anderlecht are still out of category, but everything in its time," Kompany said.

The coach indicates that Anderlecht analyzes everything, the games of the U21 and the friendly games. He points out that the youngsters at the U21 are playing to promote to 1B. "That's super important," said Kompany. "If they really stand out in the U21 and show the right mentality, they will get a chance, but now they have to fight for that chance.
