GAMES Anderlecht qualified for the eighth finals of the Cup of Belgium without much trouble. Before half-time, we saw, also thanks to a very motivated and positive La Louvière, a pleasant game of football. Purple and white scored easily and that made the second half unnecessary.

From the start, both teams showed their intentions to play a nice game of football. Anderlecht wanted to take the initiative, La Louvière let itself be inspired by its fanatic public. While purple-white tried to combine on the opponent's half, La Louvière hoped for danger through the counter-attack.

Their high pressure posed a brief danger when Van Crombrugge choked on a dropkick. Fortunately, it turned out to be only a corner kick. Just past the quarter hour Libertiaux intervened twice on attempts by Amuzu and Refaelov. Three times was the charm: Murillo first with the one-two with Amuzu and then immediately the assist to Zirkzee. The latter tapped the ball past Libertiaux into the goal: 0-1.

After the opening goal there were more chances for Azevedo and Magallan. From the corner that followed Magallan's header, Hoedt headed the ball into the goal at the far post: 0-2. A good minute later La Louvière got a ridiculous penalty kick. Murillo jumps, his opponent doesn't and lies down. Apparently enough to put the ball on the spot. Franco accepted the gift with two hands: 1-2. Murillo made up for his 'mistake' by offering Refaelov the 1-3 a few minutes later. Zirkzee recorded the 1-4 halftime score after a cross from Gomez.

Also after the break the difference in level remained big. Anderlecht played several chances together, but didn't succeed in scoring. On the hour, the purple and white should have been awarded a penalty kick for handball, but the referee didn't move. Although the game was clearly played, Vincent Kompany kept his substitutes on the bench for a long time. At halftime, Mykhaylichenko had come on for Murillo, but the next substitutions didn't come until just under twenty minutes before time.

Substitute Raman made it 1-5 a few minutes after his entry. Raman was also at the basis of Refaelov's 1-6. In the added time, Hoedt's free kick - not the best, to be honest - made it 1-7.
