Suad Katana passed away because of cardiac arrest

Suad Katana suddenly passed away Saturday night. The Bosnian defender was only 35 years old, and died because of a cardiac arrest.


Katana played for Racing Genk ('92-'94), AA Ghent ('94-'96), Anderlecht ('96-'98) and Lokeren (1999-2004). He played 270 matches in the Jupiler League.

Last year, Suad Katana quit his football career, after several injuries. Katana had a wife and two young children.
