Anderlecht: press boycott

Sporting Anderlecht were very upset by the announcements about the incidents on training and on Thursday morning. The team says the media created too much sensation.


"We have decided not to give any comment anymore. The press boycott will last at least until the end of this practice stage", announced coach Hugo Broos. He was also very surprised by all the telephone calls from Belgium. Chairman Roger Vanden Stock called them up in Marbella, early in the morning, to know what exactly was going on.
The board, technical and medical staff and the players are all involved in this press boycott. The team did announce injury news.
