Official: Christian Kouamé on loan from Fiorentina

TRANSFERS What had been in the air for a few days is now also official: Anderlecht has rented Christian Kouamé from Fiorentina for a season. The 23-year-old Ivorian played his entire career in Italy.


With Kouamé, Anderlecht have acquired an alternative for Zirkzee. In 2018 he made his debut for Genoa and despite an injury he was able to make a transfer to Fiorentina. He also played for the Ivory Coast national team and was recently part of the Ivory Coast Olympic team.

"Kouamé combines power with speed, qualities that we would like to add to our team. His arrival should give us even more opportunities to increase the scoring ability," said Peter Verbeke.
