"My thing is to score, not to run 13 kilometers"

INTERVIEWS RSC Anderlecht took Lior Refaelov away from Antwerp, not Dieumerci Mbokani. Sports director Peter Verbeke already announced that Mbokani's statistics were not good enough to get him. Mbokani reacts irritated: "Then maybe they should attract a marathon runner".


"I am very sorry that Verbeke said these things about me", says Mbokani, "Every footballer has his strength, mine is scoring, not running thirteen kilometers. I now also know better where and when I have to run. But if they really want a player who runs a lot, maybe they should take a look at bringing in a marathon runner ".
