Anderlecht beaten in the Supercup

Brugge beat Anderlecht in the Supercup. They won the 25th edition of this meaningless trophee with 0-2. Both teams played with a few young players. There wasn't much good football to see. Also the bad referee Vereecke didn't help.


Anderlecht had a few good chances early in the game, but it was Brugge that scored after a mistake in the defense: 0-1 though Hermans.
Goalkeeper Van Steenberghe prevented worse. Vanderhaeghe tested Brugian keeper Stijnen with a good effort.

Anderlecht were looking for the equaliser in the second half, but the Brugian defense was playing a good game. Also Van Steenberghe was doing a great job on the counter-attacks of the Blues.
A few minutes before time, Brugge doubled the score after a counter: 0-2 Lange.
