"We were driving to Mons when we received the message that the game was cancelled. We had just left Brussels, so it wasn't too bad for us", reacted Anderlecht-trainer Hugo Broos yesterday.

"It's a pity though. We were playing better and better and the atmosphere in the team was good after we had beaten Brugge. We have one game less played now, but I don't think that will be a psychological disadvantage."

"By the way, it's unfortunate that Brugge are eliminated in the UEFA-Cup. It would have been good for Belgium. Now they can fully focus on the league."
