GAMES A team that dreams of Play-Off 1 should always win home games against Waasland-Beveren. Anderlecht did not do that yesterday and so after this matchday it can again drop some places in the ranking. Despite massive dominance and quite a few good chances, it remained 0-0.

From the first whistle, Anderlecht continued like Tuesday against Charleroi. Especially Vlap and the wingers Amuzu and Mukairu showed themselves. Amuzu came close to a penalty kick, but referee Verboomen put the ball just outside the box. Anderlecht also tried with corners and free kick, but without success.

Only halfway through the first half was there a first time Waasland-Beveren, but Albanese kicked on Miazga. The greatest chance fell on the half hour. Vlap with the perfect assist for Mukairu. He only had to slide the ball in, but he still kicked wide. Although Anderlecht dominated the first half, the danger on the target remained limited. Just before half-time, Ait El Hadj kicked the outside of the post.

The second half started with an attempt by Nmecha and a non-whistled hands ball from Frey in his own sixteen. The VAR also remained silent. On the hour Jackers saved nicely on a try from Nmecha. Not much later, Kompany made Diaby debut. Fifteen minutes before the end, Kompany also put Dimata and Dauda for Nmecha and Mukairu. Dauda showed himself immediately, but Jackers came to the rescue.

The new boys brought some fire. In the last minutes, Anderlecht had a lot of opportunities. Dauda dribbled past three defenders, but once again Jackers stopped. Not much later, the same Jackers, without a doubt the 'Man of the match', also kept Diaby from a goal. And if it wasn't Jackers, the post would keep the zero on the board. Ait El Hadj with a hard shot, but right on the post.

Despite a cartload of chances, it remained 0-0. Anderlecht are now alone on fourth place, but OH Leuven and Standard can jump over the Brussels team this weekend. There is not much time to train on finishing: Mouscron is already waiting on Tuesday.
