TRANSFERS It took a while, but now it is official. Anderlecht has strengthened its midfield with Majeed Ashimeru. The midfielder joins on loan from Red Bull Salzburg.
Anderlecht just announced the transfer of Majeed Ashimeru on its social social media. The 23-year-old Ghanaian comes on a loan basis from Red Bull Salzburg, from Austria. The midfielder joins for the rest of the season on loan, with a option for a definitive transfer.
Ashimeru will join the rest of the group as soon as possible and will play with number 18. The player's manager, Zouhair Essikal, tells Voetbalkrant that it is Vincent Kompany's words that convinced the player to move to Brussels. “Majeed is a young multipurpose midfielder with a lot of verticality in his game. He was trained within the Red Bull philosophy so that his profile matches what we expect from our players. Moreover, Majeed has a good gear and likes to infiltrate ", says sports director Peter Verbeke.
In addition, Peter Verbeke says that Majeed really wants to come to Anderlecht and that an interesting purchase option has been negotiated, which offers the club prospects for a collaboration for several seasons.
