Verschaeren supports teammates on crutches

INJURIES Yari Verschaeren was present in the Lotto Park during the match against Ostend to support his teammates. The unfortunate midfielder had a boot around his ankle and was walking on crutches.


Although no fans were allowed in the stadium, they still supported Verschaeren with a banner. "Stay strong, Yari," it said behind one of the goals.

Verschaeren sustained an injury to the left ankle against Genk on Friday. Anderlecht hopes to be able to count on him again in the second half of January.
