Mathijssen is counting on four Anderlecht players to reach the Europea

GAMES - YOUTH Jacky Mathijssen, the national coach of the Belgian U21, has announced his selection for the decisive European Championship qualifier against Bosnia on 17 November. His selection includes four Anderlecht players: Hannes Delcroix, Marco Kana, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Francis Amuzu.


Compared to the previous selection, striker Antoine Colassin is not there. He loses his spot to Union striker Dante Vanzeir.

With one game to go, Belgium has two points less than group leader Germany. The Germans, with Lukas Nmecha, play against Wales that same evening. The group winner qualifies directly for next year's European Championship. The five best numbers two (from nine groups) can also go to the final tournament in Hungary and Slovenia. With a win, the chances are very high that Belgium will be there.
