Inter Milan trainer Roberto Mancini has confirmed he's interested in signing Anderlecht defender Vincent Kompany.
The 18 year-old is rated one of the best defenders of his age on the continent and is also attracting serious interest from Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Mancini told Inter's website yesterday: "I do not know Kompany very well, I have only seen him now and again. But he has good qualities and is a very young person.
"He has great scope to develop and could be an optimal purchase for the future. He can certainly become a great player.
"But in Italy, to be successful you must have experience. But I repeat, he has great potential and would be a good signing for the future."
Inter already negociated with Anderlecht about a transfer, but there were no deals made yet.
