Raymond Goethals (83), the most succesful coach in the Belgian football history, passed away after a lingering disease. His greatest success was in 1993, when he won the Champions League with Olympique Marseille.

He won the European Cup Final with Anderlecht in 1978. And he became Belgian champion with Standard in 1982 and 1983. With Marseille, he was able to win the French championship three times: in 1991, 1992 and 1993. He always had a very good relationship with Constant Vanden Stock and Anderlecht.

The Wizard (his nickname) is gone now, but his spirit will live on in every Belgian's heart.
