Assist Verschaeren, Doku scored, Belgium win (video)

GAMES Anderlecht youngsters, Jeremy Doku and Yari Verschaeren contributed more than a bit to the 5-1 victory of the Red Devils against Iceland yesterday night. Sbustitute Verschaeren provided the assist with the fouth goal. Base spy Doku kicked the 5-1 hard against the ropes.

Doku was the first to kick off with the Red Devils, but had a difficult evening. Especially before half-time, the left winger was not involved that much in the game. That ate at the trust, so he immediately missed a simple check. After the break it worked out better...

After 65 minutes Martinez brought a second Anderlecht-player in between the lines with Verschaeren. Verschaeren immediately got a chance. Five minutes after his subsitution, Verschaeren reached the back line after a combination with De Bruyne. Verschaeren pulled the ball back in one time and Batshuayi scored 4-1 with a clever heel.

Ten minutes before the end, Doku showed his class after all. De Bruyne played him on the left. Doku made speed, cut inside, and kicked hard in the top corner. So a difficult evening got a nice ending for Doku.
