The Belgian Football Association takes some decisions

OTHER What if the competition has to be stopped prematurely due to circumstances or if several players from a team test positive. The Belgian Football Association has drawn up a number of measures for various scenarios.


If more than seven players from one professional club test positive for COVID-19, they can request a postponement of the game. Calendar manager Nils Van Brantegem has the final say on this, his decision is final.

Suppose there is a new lockdown and the competition has to be stopped again. Then the ranking on the last match day will count. The condition is that all teams have played against each other at least once. If this is not the case, there will be a cancellation of the season. In that case there will also be no champion and no descenders or climbers.

European tickets

If the competition has to be stopped, the sports performances of the clubs over the past five seasons will be considered. The European tickets will be distributed on that basis. Only the European ticket of the cup winner is not amongst it.

If there is no barrage match between the penultimate from 1A and the number two from 1B, the club from 1A is automatically the winner.
