De Jong finds a new club

OTHER Max de Jong returns to work less than three months after his dismissal at Anderlecht. The goalkeeper coach has signed a contract with Al-Raed in Saudi Arabia. He will work together again with Besnik Hasi.


Hasi and De Jong have worked together at Anderlecht for four years. First both under John van den Brom. When Van den Brom was fired, De Jong stayed on board under head coach Hasi.

Hasi has been a coach at Al-Raed since the summer of 2018. With the Cameroonian Arnaud Sutchuin-Djoum there is also one player with a history at the Anderlecht youth.
