INTERVIEWS This afternoon, Tessa Wullaert was introduced as the newest addition to the Anderlecht ladies. The Red Flame comes from the English top club Manchester City. "I am proud to play  for Anderlecht. I am pleasantly surprised by the vision of the sports leaders to further develop women's football in Belgium," she said.

"Anderlecht mean well with women's football. I don't see this step as a step back, but as an opportunity. Half of the national team plays here. We have a super strong team," said Wullaert. "I will do everything I can to achieve our goals, on and off the field."

Wullaert also hopes to find football fun at Anderlecht. At Manchester City, she didn't enjoy the freedom she likes. "Here I can play football again every week and play on my best position. At City I was not allowed to dribble. I cannot perform in such a regime."

How long Wullaert has attached her fate to Anderlecht is unknown. The 27-year-old West Flemish woman enjoys playing football back in Belgium and living with her boyfriend. "Maybe I will go abroad again after Anderlecht, but we'll see what comes my way."
