Kompany hands on wages

INTERVIEWS RSC Anderlecht has been struggling financially for some time. To give the club a little more room to breathe in that area, Vincent Kompany has agreed to earn less money for the remainder of his contract term.

Whether Kompany wants and what he wants in return is unclear. According to CEO Karel Van Eetvelt, Kompany expect nothing in return for his investment.
"Kompnay's investment has strong symbolic value above all. Those who know him also know that he does not expect anything in return. There is also no agreement yet that he will acquire shares indefinitely", says Evan Eetvelt.
