TRANSFERS Yari Verschaeren (photo) is high on AC Milan's wish list. The Milanese are currently at an advanced stage to appoint Ralf Rangnick as the new coach. The German would come from RB Leipzig and would also become the new technical director. Just last week, Zvonimir Boban, the man who led Alexis Saelemaekers to Milan, was fired from his position as technical director.

The Rossoneri want to start their way up again after a few lean years. For this they are working on a list of many talents who are currently playing football in the Netherlands or Belgium.

Verschaeren is one of the many names that Milan has to put on the map again. Besides Verschaeren are also Teun Koopmeiners and Myron Boadu (AZ), Jonathan David (AA Gent), Youcef Atal (OGC Nice), Fiete Arp (Bayern Munich), Ethan Ampadu (RB Leizpig, hired from Chelsea) and Kristoffer Ajer ( Celtic) on that list.

According to "Tuttosport", Milan needs a right back, a center back, a striker, and at least one creative midfielder.

Alexis Saelemaekers was taken for that back position and according to the Italian sports newspaper, it seems unlikely that he will be part of the fallen Italian superpower next season.
