OTHER It is a somewhat weird financial construction set up around the transfer of goalkeeper Thomas Didillon. Genk hires the goalkeeper until the end of the season, and it negotiated a purchase option, but if it doesn't lift the option, they have 25% of the rights to the goalkeeper.

Genk rents Didillon until the end of the season for around 550,000 euros, it also takes over the entire wage. The Frenchman may therefore play if it still comes to a duel between the two clubs. The national champion also insisted on an option to purchase, if it uses it, it will deposit another 1,650,000 euros on the account of RSC Anderlecht. If you add those things up you will come to the total amount that the Purple & White paid for Didillon to FC Metz at the time.

But it is not over yet. If Genk does not lift the option, it does retain 25% rights to the goalkeeper. Which means that if the Purple & White Didillon sells next summer, the Limburgers will still receive 25% of that transfer fee, the other 75% is for the Purple & White.
