Anderlecht say goodbye to European football

Anderlecht lost again in the Champions League. Even the UEFA-Cup can't be reached anymore. The game against Valencia ended on a 1-2 defeat for the Mauves.




The game started at a slow pace. After 20 minutes, Torres could center from an off-side position. Corradi scored the 0-1. A few minutes later, Anderlecht got a penalty for a foul on Aruna. Zetterberg missed, but Wilhelmsson scored in the rebound: 1-1.

In the second half, the defense made a mistake and Di Vaio doubled the score for Valencia. Anderlecht pushed Valencia back, but couldn't score anymore. Also the referee didn't notice a few hands balls in the box. Final score: 1-2.
