INTERVIEWS Nacer Chadli plays with the Red Devils against Russia on Saturday. He might get a place in the starting eleven, because the winger shows at Anderlecht that he is in top form. Chadli spoke to the press yesterday afternoon and his future at Anderlecht was also discussed.

With six goals and four assists, Chadli is of gold value for Anderlecht this season. The winger also proved to be decisive in his last international matches. "I hope to continue my form at Anderlecht with the national team," it sounded yesterday afternoon.

Belgium currently has eight victories out of the same number of duels in the European Championship preliminary round. Not losing in Russia is important in view of the draw. "We always want to win, we don't think about the draw. If we win twice, we have a record. I think the group is working on that. We want to do better than the previous generation."

Last weekend it sounded that Chadli had problems with the calf after the match against Zulte Waregem, but it wasn't too bad. "It was just a bit of fatigue. Everything is ok," he reassures the fans.

"Lots of talent, but more experience needed"

Although the season is not going well, Anderlecht delivers four internationals. "A sign that there is a lot of talent," said Chadli. "Verschaeren and Cobbaut can be the future of Belgian football. They have the talent for it. Also at the national U21 there are very good Anderlecht players."

Talent enough at Anderlecht, but why are the points so difficult to follow? "Sometimes we need more experience. That's why we've already lost games this season."

Anderlecht are renting Chadli until the end of the season from Monaco. What then? "I keep all options open. At the end of the season I make the balance. Then we look for the best solution for Anderlecht and Monaco. I certainly do not exclude an extended stay at Anderlecht. I came here to play football and to have fun. "
