Gerkens out with Achilles tendon troubles

INJURIES RSC Anderlecht may add another name to the list of injured players: Pieter Gerkens. He has been struggling for a while with annoyance to the Achilles tendon, apparently caused by his studs. They change the position of his foot, resulting in inflammation of the Achilles tendon.


Gerkens has been struggling for a while but the pain was getting worse. The club sent him to a podiatrist and he came up with the verdict of the bad studs. In the meantime, Gerkens has other shoes, but it will still be two weeks before he is fit again.
