INTERVIEWS Vincent Kompany has also shed his light on the racist sounds that Romelu Lukaku suffered last weekend. At Sky Sports, Kompany looked at the problem as we know it: from a broader perspective.

"Romelu was the victim of something outrageous, something that should never happen in a stadium or in society. But the real problem lies with the authorities that now have to make a decision," Kompany said.

"The big problem is that there is nobody in those associations who can understand exactly what Romelu is going through. You are dealing with a group of people and administrators who are all trying to tell how Romelu should think and how he should feel about this. There is no single decision-maker who can understand what Romelu has already experienced in his life. "

"That is the real problem. If you look at the composition of the UEFA, the Italian or English Associations, everywhere: there is a big diversity issue. As long as there is no diversity, you cannot make the right decision about sanctions. It's that simple. "
