YOUTH Anderlecht's U21 have lost their first league game of the new season. At KV Mechelen the boys from Craig Bellamy (photo) in the image of the first team: dominant, but sagging physically after the break. The Mechelen players benefited and won 1-0.

Before the break we saw one-way soccer at the half of KV Mechelen. Anderlecht played at a high pace and set Mechelen high. However, it turned out to be difficult to find a hole at the sixteen meters. Anderlecht got through twice, but the goalkeeper of Mechelen played a good game.

After the break, Dhauholou came in. He was motivated, but Bellamy called his voice hoarse to the Ivorian. In the meantime Mechelen got better and better in the game. They also showed that they could play well and Vercauteren was tested a few times. Fifteen minutes before time, that led to the 1-0.

The left wing of Anderlecht had completely disappeared from the game. Masscho always had to stay in the back so that Mehssatou could advance on the right. Daskevics couldn't handle the pace and if he already got the ball, he would run without an overview. Ait El Hadj also played a pale game.

The best players at Anderlecht played on the right wing. The duo Mehssatou - Suray kept on running, as if their energy could not run out. Together with substitutes Kalulika and Dhauholou, they still caused a great deal of Anderlecht danger in the final quarter.

Anderlecht played with: Vercauteren, Mehssatou, Bergiers (61 'Kalulika), Lissens, Masscho, Dailly (62' Engwanda), Leoni, Suray, Ait El Hadj, Daskevics, Colassin (46 'Dhauholou)
Stayed on the bench: Alavoine, Van Laere, Polizzi
