GAMES Anderlecht have not been able to win their fourth league game. At Kortrijk for 45 minutes everything looked good. Until the VAR went wrong and Kortrijk rolled on and over Anderlecht. With matches against Genk, Standard, Antwerp and Club Brugge ahead, a disastrous competition start is imminent.

Vincent Kompany had mixed up his team again and had Chadli make his debut. Anderlecht took took the game in hands and halfway through the first period Nasri made his first goal for Anderlecht. Afterwards, opportunities followed. The best was for Thelin, but he came just too late.

After the break, referee Lambrechts whistled a penalty for a foul by Sandler, but the Dutchman didn't touch Ajagun. The VAR remained silent and Mboyo scored 1-1. Not much later, Sardella gave Kagé too much freedom and suddenly it was 2-1. Vlap also scored a penalty, but it was again Kortrijk that took the lead. First, Mboyo was given to much space to make it 3-2 and D'Haene punished Kompany's ball loss with goal number four.

Anderlecht are left behind after 2 games with 2 out of 12. The opponents (Ostend, Mouscron, Mechelen and Kortrijk) were relatively achievable. Now a four-part show with Genk, Standard, Antwerp and Club Brugge.
