TRANSFERS Anderlecht have lost another player. Abdoul Karim Danté has signed a three-year contract with 1B-club Virton. The Malian defender was unable to break through at Purple & White.

Anderlecht discovered the then 17-year-old Danté in the fall of 2015 during the World Cup for U17 in Chile. As captain of Mali, he then reached the semi-finals. On April 6 last year, he made his debut in the first team of Anderlecht. In the weeks that followed, he was allowed to come in twice more. He didn't play for a minute last season. The commentary sounded that he was too timid.

Now Dante is trying to launch his career at Virton. The club only promoted from the first amateur league to first class B. In July last year, the Luxembourg businessman Flavio Becca, who was already a sponsor of cycling team Leopard-Trek, took over the team. He is very ambitious.
