Does Ghent want Kums back?

TRANSFERS Sven Kums (31) is no longer certain in the new game system from Anderlecht. Kompany wants to play with one controlling midfielder and it is not certain whether Kums is the right player to bring the balance to the team. AA Ghent may offer a solution according to Het Nieuwsblad.


AA Ghent lost two midfielders this summer (Verstraete and Esiti) and of course knows Kums very well. Het Nieuwsblad does make the consideration that the position that Ghent is looking for does not really fit the profile of Kums. Kums' second passage abroad was not a success (Watford / Udinese) and the Middle East also does not seem ideal (Kums recently became a father).

The vista of the midfielder is not questioned at Anderlecht, but his duel power and his recovery capacity are. A departure therefore does not seem entirely impossible, although Purple & White will want to recover part of the transfer fee that it paid two years ago (6 million euros).
