Anderlecht only sold 11,900 season tickets

OTHER Have you also noticed that the official Facebook and Twitter accounts of Anderlecht always have a call to buy a season ticket? No wonder, because the club is having difficulty selling its season tickets. The counter is only at 11,900.


At least four clubs already sold more season tickets for the new season than Anderlecht. Het Laatste Nieuws knows that. Club Brugge takes the lead with 23,200, just not double that of Anderlecht. Genk (16,000), Ghent (15,000) and Antwerp (13,300, sold out) also do better than the Purple & White. Standard does not yet have figures available, but these too will almost certainly be higher than at Anderlecht.

The arrival of Vincent Kompany briefly boosted season ticket sales at Anderlecht. At the beginning of June the figures were 10 percent higher than last year. Then the hype fell down. The Purple & White will have to take a firm hold on the transfer market to convince the doubting fan.
