INTERVIEWS Several youngsters made themselves noticed positively against Oudenaarde. Halim Timassi and Anouar Ait El Hadj scored two great goals, but the best player was Thierry Lutonda. At the unusual left wing position for him he made several great actions. "I did my best and hopefully the coach is satisfied."

After only six minutes, Lutonda passed his man for the first time. His cross went perfectly to the head of Isaac Kiese Thelin and the 0-1 was on the board. "It was a great match", Lutonda said afterwards for the rsca.be microphone. "It is the first time that I have experienced the preparation with the A-team. So I am happy to be on the field. This was a good game for the youngsters. This gives confidence."

Lutonda calls his own game "reasonable" in all modesty. "Even though I normally play in the back left, I think I have contributed in an offensive way," said Lutonda, who was left winger for the occasion. "The coach has already tested me on two positions (he played left back at RWDM last week, ed.). I did my best and hopefully he is satisfied."

What are Lutonda's ambitions for this season? "I hope to make my debut at the first team. To play in the Jupiler Pro League, to make minutes and to make the coach happy. I will try to do what he wants from me. Hopefully I can follow in the footsteps of Saelemaekers, Amuzu and Verschaeren. I hope it goes well and I get my chance. "
