Mayor Putten does not give permission for Ajax-Anderlecht

GAMES RSC Anderlecht had scheduled a friendly game against Ajax in Brussels on July 6, but that was canceled due to the start of the Tour de France. They wanted to move the game to the Netherlands, more specifically to Putten, but the mayor does not give permission for the friendly game there either.


The mayor believes that the municipality cannot provide enough staff to maintain public order. This Saturday SDC Putten is already playing a friendly game against Feyenoord where a lot of personnel must already be deployed. Doing that again a week later for Ajax - RSC Anderlecht is not feasible according to the mayor.

So now we have to wait and see if the game will continue at all and, if so, where.
