Anderlecht again failed to gain points in the Champions League. They were defeated by Bremen with a humiliating 5-1 score.

After 2 minutes already, Anderlecht had to pursue. Klasnic with a great kick, and Peersman was beaten: 1-0. The Mauves couldn't hold the pressure, and in the 17th minute the second goal was a fact. A header by Klasnic again, after a corner kick: 2-0. Anderlecht started playing a bit better, and Iachtchouk could score the 2-1. But the hope of Anderlecht fell to pieces, as Miroslav Klose scored the 3-1 three minutes later. A very weak Anderlecht went to the locker room with this score.

The hope for a better Anderlecht in the second half, was all in vain. Bremen just played with Anderlecht, but didn't round off the chances. Until the 78th minute: Klasnic scored the 4-1, his 5th goal in 2 matches against Anderlecht. And still the punishment wasn't over: shortly before the whistle, Jensen scored the 5-1.
