GAMES Anderlecht didn't get any further than a 1-1 draw on the Antwerp field on Sunday afternoon. Anderlecht quickly took the lead, but eventually had to make peace with a point.

Anderlecht had a dream start. After barely five minutes, Santini scored from Najar's failed shot. The first goal in an away game for Anderlecht in this Play-Off 1. Antwerp had to recover, but took control of the game. In the half hour this almost led to an own goal by Bornauw, but Didillon saved with a great reflex.

The second half also started with an early goal, this time from the home team. A far throw in ended up at Lamkel Zé, who did not give Didillon a chance. Antwerp smelled blood and boosted the pressure. Anderlecht barely reached the other side, but the home team didn't get big chances. After a while, the Purple & White restored the balance and in the final phase it was close to 1-2. After a cross by Verschaeren, Santini ticked over.

It remained 1-1 and Anderlecht sees its lead on number six AA Gent shrink from four to two points. Leader Racing Genk will visit on Thursday.
